City Council recently approved plans for another Lone Tree new home community. The 50 new Lone Tree homes for sale will be built on land near the Lone Tree Recreation Center. It’s called The Retreat at RidgeGate. The Builder is Century Communities. Century built the new homes which are now completed at Montecito. Century also builds thought the Denver metropolitan area. The new Lone Tree homes for sale are expected to be in $1m range after lot premiums and upgrades.
The only other new single-family homes under contraction in Lone Tree right now are located in Heritage Hills. Those homes are built by Celebrity Homes and offer dramatic Tuscan styling. The are also priced in $1m range. However, Thrive row homes and resale single-family homes are selling from the $300,000’s.

New Lone Tree Library

The new 25,000 square foot Lone Tree Library is still being constructed but will open this summer.
The new 25,000 square foot Lone Tree library facility is still under construction. It will be ready to open this June near the Lone Tree Arts Center in RidgeGate. It will replace an, older smaller building on Lone Tree Parkway. It is one of three new libraries in Douglas county and demonstrates the county’s commitment to a vibrant public library system.
The first floor will display an open air design which is uncommon in libraries. The second floor will have a more traditional floor-plan. There will be a Young Adult’s Department and other sections on the second floor.
Morningstar Senior Living
Morningstar Senior Living will open a full-service senior housing center in the middle of RidgeGate in June. The senior complex will offer 124 units for independent living, 71 units for assisted living and 29 units for “memory support” suites. In addition, it will have a skilled nursing facility. It will also have a dining facility for the option of chef-prepared meals. Residents will be able to walk to the shops and restaurants in RidgeGate Town Center. The senior housing will be very close to the new Lone Tree Library and the Lone Tree Center for the Preforming Arts. Grocery shopping will be available at nearby Sprouts and Target Super Store which are also within walking distance.
Pedestrian Bridge To RidgeGate

Fentress Architects is the designer of the pedestrian bridge over Lincoln which will connect RidgeGate Town Center with Heritage Hills and it’s shopping center.
Construction of a new pedestrian overpass will begin soon over Lincoln Avenue at the entrance to Heritage Hills housing subdivision. It will also connect RidgeGate and the Charles Schwab complex to Heritage Hills Shopping Center. Harmon Construction has been selected to be the contractor and Fentress Architects has provided the plans. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer. Access between the shops and homes at Heritage Hills and RidgeGate will be improved with the addition of the pedestrian Bridge. It is funded by a small sales tax that was approved by Lone Tree voters in 2012.
Heritage Hills residents will now be able to walk on the bridge to RidgeGate shops and restaurants and avoid the busy traffic on Lincoln Avenue.
Denver Light Rail Expands To RidgeGate Town Center

Light rail service in Lone Tree will soon expand into Ridgegate.
The RTD Light Rail system will be extended to Skyridge Hospital and RidgeGate Town Center. Construction of the almost 2 mile extension will begin soon and is expected to be completed by 2019.The RTD light rail connects Lone Tree with Downtown Denver and the International Airport.
Already, Lone Tree residents can use the Lincoln Street Station located about 1/2 mile north of Lincoln Avenue on Park Meadows Blvd. There is also a free parking structure located there.
