Denver’s suburban community of Littleton will host the Annual Candlelight Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Littleton, Colorado is my home town and a Denver Suburb that is is rich in community spirit. In the summer there are many street fairs, concerts and events. But, now at Christmas and Holiday time, it is time for some traditional , pageantry in the form of the annual Candlelight Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony.
That time of year! Here’s a great tradition in historic downtown Littleton that gives this community the feeling of small town charm. The 31st annual Candlelight Walk and Tree Lighting in Downtown Littleton will be held on Friday November 28, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This Littleton tradition will get your holiday season started.
Families and kids of all ages are encourage to follow Santa Clause as he makes his way down Main Street. Carolers lining the streets, music playing, people holding candles as Santa Clause and his sleigh come down the streets to light the tree at the end of Main Street. Bring your camera for a photo with Santa at Town Hall Arts Center.
Enjoy the merchants’ open house and see all the charm that Downtown Littleton has to offer. Why not take advantage of this opportunity to see your neighbors and get in the mood for the Holidays. Children and parents alike can enjoy the season in our neighborhood.
Main Street will be open to pedestrians, but closed to traffic at 4pm. Santa begins his March down Main Street at 6:30 pm starting from the Courthouse. Free parking is available at Arapahoe Community College. Yes, it’s a lot like how this event has been held for years. I reported on the Annual Littleton Candlelight Walk as early as 2007.
