The one thing we know about history is that it is always being advanced. Now, the historic Havenor Millinery Building in picuresque, downtown Littleton is going to add second story and a new chapter in its life as as one of my community’s historic buildings.
Built in 1905 for P & L Millinery business, the building is located at 2449 W Main Street in the heart of historic, downtown Littleton.
Over a century and still standing. Over the years it has had many uses; best remembered was Veto’s shoe repair, operated by three generations of the Larocco family: Veto, Tony and Steve. Veto’s son and grandson operated the shop until 2000.
The Larocco family took care of my shoes with personal touch and care that I have not found anywhere else to replace their service care and quality. They have been missed by many patrons including my family.
Now it will get a second story and begin a second century of use. Knowing how these buildings have evolved over the years helps my family and I appreciate our community. The history of Littleton is one of the many things we enjoy living here!
