The Holidays have always been a special time for me and my family and this year is no exception. It has been over seven years since I moved to Reunion and I have been enjoying it ever since.
One of the big highlights of this “Hometown” community is the fabulous display of Christmas lights by our local Commerce City neighbors. Several of the neighbors throughout the community spend countless hours hanging up Christmas lights and decorations. I have seen several of my neighbors start this tedious process in late October and early November. They meticulously hang each and every light with such precision and accuracy that I often wonder how they get all those lights so straight along the outline of their homes. I marvel at the precision of the placement of the lights as much as the beauty of the display. If you are looking for something to do one night during the Holiday season, be sure to drive through Reunion to view these wonderful displays.
Another unique feature of Reunion is the flight path of the Canadian Geese. Not only do hundreds of them fly over the community on a regular basis on their travels along the Central flyway (along the Rocky Mountains) but they also use the lakes at Reunion as a stopping ground to rest. Hundreds of geese land on the lakes to where you can no longer see the water but only a sea of geese. This is not something you can experience in many other neighborhoods.
Reunion has certainly become a “Hometown” for many people as the numbers show that once people move into the community, they are here to stay. With over 1200 single family homes in the community, there are currently only 7 resale homes available for sale. These homes range from 3-5 bedrooms with most of the homes being priced from the mid-$200,000 to $300,000 and are under 8 years old.
Reunion and the surrounding area have 4 new home builders currently building brand new homes. Shea is the master builder of Reunion, but D.R. Horton, Richmond and Carapace are also building in the vicinity. Each of these builders have existing homes currently available and lots for homes being built from the ground up. Styles range from the traditional style home to those which are very contemporary.
Reunion has always been rich with Hometown tradition. Be sure to drive through this suburban neighborhood to gain a full understanding of its heritage and all its amenities. Reunion is located at 104th and Tower Road and is just 15 minutes away from Denver International Airport.
