I love living in Denver’s northwest suburb, Louisville, Colorado. It’s half way between Boulder and Denver. Louisville has gone through many changes in 2015 including rising real estate values. It has won so many awards as one of America’s top cities to live, it was bound to drive up prices.
The summer of 2015 brought bidding wars and offers made on properties sight unseen, new restaurants that gave a boost to Louisville’s economy, a popular local grocer opening, the renovation of Highway 36 (Louisville’s main transportation between Denver & Boulder), and another successful Street Faire that keeps breaking attendance records.
Louisville Real Estate
And, good news for real estate Buyers, currently the local inventory of Louisville homes for sale and Louisville condos and townhomes for sale has jumped roughly 20%, meaning Buyers have more to choose from and the competition isn’t as fierce as it was over the summer months. If you’re relocating to Colorado and Louisville real estate for sale is on your list, now is a great time to get in before rates go up. Plus, there is actually have some inventory available now.
New Amenities in Louisville
New restaurant openings has the town buzzing this summer too. For one reason or another, chain restaurants don’t make it in Louisville.
Recently, Chilis shut their doors and locally owned Murphy’s is about ready to open a 40 tap brew pub and restaurant in its place. In Old Town, the Moxi Bread Company recently opened and has been a popular choice for lunch. A local grocer, Alfalfa’s , opened this year giving Louisville residents another option besides Whole Foods.
Boulder School District
With summer coming to an end, that means school is about ready to start for the Boulder County School District. That’s right, many people don’t ousiville is in the renown Boulder Schools District, one of the best in Colorado and the nation. If you have any school related questions, I’m happy to discuss the options. We have a pre-schooler and a 1st grader this year and are coming into our 9th year residing in the great town of Louisville. We love it, I’m always happy to discuss and help those interested in relocating to the area.
