Enjoy Historic Downtown Littleton and Beyond

December 3, 2020 By Andrea Holeso Leave a Comment

Downtown Littleton ColoradoI always wonder where to start when discussing  historic, Downtown Littleton with home-buyers relocating to Denver. Surprisingly, this small downtown area of Littleton is right off  the main drag of South Santa Fe Drive near Bowles Avenue. But, it still feels somehow tucked away.  It’s like a quiet secret.

Renovated and Historic Downtown Littleton

There is a small town vibe as you drive down the Main street of downtown Littleton. It’s hard to believe this quaint and historic area is right in the middle of the suburban Denver hustle and bustle. That’s part of why living near historic, Downtown Littleton is so desirable.  This charming village just 10 miles south of Downtown Denver is an ideal location for Coloradans who are seeking a slower pace of “city living.” But, walking though the gas-lit streets of this district offers restaurants, entertaining and boutique shopping.

Salons, spas, and yoga studios mix into the retail and restaurant scene. You’ll find the boutiques, galleries, and other services throughout this historic area. Street fairs in the summer and a Holiday Candlelight Walk in winder offer special events for all ages. So, there is something for everyone here.

Walk or Bike from Your Littleton Home

Downtown LittletonA variety of different style homes  line the streets near the downtown Littleton area. Here, you can discover homes with  larger lots, mountain views, and even open spaces between homes. Those homes can range anywhere from modest ranch style to horse properties and even modern estates. Plenty of different styles appeal to many would-be home home buyers looking to move to the Littleton area.

Plus, there are a selection of lush golf courses scattered throughout and lakes and where you can enjoy the Colorado summer days. Don’t miss Chatfield Reservoir in the State Park there for a boating excursion or just hike by the water. Here’s a hint. There’s even good  fishing from the shore on the western side.

In the winter, I-470 provides easy access to Highway 285 or I-70 leading to your mountain and ski adventures.

Lots of Amenities for Relocation Home Buyers

Commute by light rail train from downtown Littleton to downtown Denver.

Historic Downtown Littleton is a gem in the Littleton area with so much to offer. Don’t forget to check out the Buck Recreation Center, Arapahoe Community College, or Hudson Gardens for events. Miles of walking and biking trails near the South Platte River can even lead you to downtown Denver itself.  South Suburban Littleton Golf and Tennis club sits just west of Downtown. Some other highlights of the area include the Littleton Museum. It is located on 40 acres of historic homestead farm land that dates back to the 1860s.

A variety of historic landmarks, fabulous eateries, outdoor fun and small local businesses provide charming yet exciting  venues in Historic downtown Littleton.  In addition, the adjacent neighborhoods exude  vitality and vibrancy.

Some of my favorite restaurants here include Carboy Winery, Lucielle’s Creole Cafe, Adelita’s, and Angelo’s Taverna! Because,  I’m a big foodie. And, downtown Littleton falls into my stomping ground. Maybe, I will see you there!
