“Back Country” is the last parcel of land available for new homes in Highlands Ranch and is located at Broadway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway on the south side of “The Ranch”. It will include semi-custom homes built by Shea Homes and the newly announced 180 custom homes
to be built by a variety of custom homebuilders. Highlands Ranch is the most popular destination for relocation buyers in the Denver area.
The custom homes will be located in a gated community separated from other homes in “BackCountry“. These homes will be offered at prices starting at $1.5 and increasing as new filings are released. Once these custom homes are completed, it is expect that no new developments can be undertaken in Highlands Ranch.
Highlands Ranch was developed originally by Mission Viejo and resembles its development in southern California. It was sold to Shea homes several years ago. Shea has developed it and several other communities including Reunion and Chatfield Greens. Shea recently bought commercial land in the Denver Tech Center and Meridian Business Park as well as University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. It is widely expected to undertake more condominium and mixed-use development in those areas.
