New Highlands Ranch Custom Homes

Back Country in Highlands Ranch Colorado

The Kentwood Company has announced that it has been selected to market 180 brand new custom homes in “BackCountry” to built by various builders in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

“Back Country” is the last parcel of land available for new homes in Highlands Ranch and is located at Broadway and Wildcat Reserve Parkway on the south side of “The Ranch”. It will include semi-custom homes built by Shea Homes and the newly announced 180 custom homes

to be built by a variety of custom homebuilders. Highlands Ranch is the most popular destination for relocation buyers in the Denver area.

Highlands Ranch New HomesThe custom homes will be located in a gated community separated from other homes in “BackCountry“. These homes will be offered at prices starting at $1.5 and increasing as new filings are released. Once these custom homes are completed, it is expect that no new developments can be undertaken in Highlands Ranch.

Highlands Ranch was developed originally by Mission Viejo and resembles its development in southern California. It was sold to Shea homes several years ago. Shea has developed it and several other communities including Reunion and Chatfield Greens. Shea recently bought commercial land in the Denver Tech Center and Meridian Business Park as well as University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. It is widely expected to undertake more condominium and mixed-use development in those areas.

    UPDATE:

    BackCountry has announced that those who signed up for the BackCountry “priority list” with Shea homes have until Octber 11, 2007 to declare their exclusive interest in the custom home series.

    Then, Kentwood sales staff will begin writing contracts in order for those on the priority list who exercise their option to buy in the order of registration.

    The “priority list” was developed by on-site sales staff for the semi-custom homes in anticipation of the release of the true custom homes in October. These luxury homes are the first release of 60-70 homes in the luxury home series. Several different builders are included on the approved builder list.
