Leave It To Beaver In Homestead

December 17, 2019 By Tom Cryer, Kentwood Real Estate Leave a Comment

Homestead neighborhoodsHomestead neighborhoods real estate in Centennial, Colorado offer very traditional floor plans with a center hall on the main floor just like you see on the old TV show, Leave it to Beaver. The Beav would be right at home here along with Ward, June and Wally.

Typical Homestead real estate

Homestead real estate offers various traditional floor-plans built mostly in the 1970’s, and 1980.s

Sanford Homes developed real estate  in various Homestead neighborhoods including Homestead at the Willows where my wife Dee and I live. But, they repeated many of the same basic floor-plans throughout Homestead at Willows End, Homestead Farm, Homestead Farm II and a few other variants throughout Centennial.

But, don’t look for brand new Sanford homes nowadays. Because, they sold out to the national home-builder, Bezer. Therefore,  the distinctive Sanford floor-plans are no longer produced. But, you can shop the existing homes in Homestead neighborhoods right here. Many homes are beautifully renovated and some are expanded in size and ceiling volume.

Homestead in The Willows Walking Tour

You can find a list of floor plans and a short story about all these enclaves ion my Homestead Blog. You see, we have been writing about Homestead neighborhoods for decades. We love selling these homes. We believe in the lasting quality and the functional designs.

Cherry Creek Schools Serves Some Homestead Neighborhoods

Homestead swimming poolToday,  Homestead in the Willows offers 8 tennis courts, three pools, miles of pedestrian trails, paths and walkways leading to the “walk-in” neighborhood Homestead Elementary School. That’s within the Cherry Creek School System. Homestead Elementary enjoys an award winning performance over generations.

Greenbelts, South Suburban Parks and Recreation provides entertainment within the one square mile of this Homestead neighborhood. I personally love how the trail system links to both the north and south with the ability to ride bicycles onto Urban Denver without every crossing a busy street. The bicycle trail system just continues to grow with ever more linking trails.

Award-Winning Littleton Schools

Homestead neighborhoods real estateOther Homestead neighborhoods attend public schools within the Little School District. These rank highly state-wide. Homestead and Homestead II fit in this category.

All Homestead neighborhoods offer similar conveniences and amenities. For example, each neighborhood has it’s own pool. And, within a mile, anyone can hop right on the Highline Canal Trail offering limitless directions and connectivity to other trails. Now, the Denver Tech Center, Greenwood Plaza, Inverness, Meridian and Lone Tree are just short bike ride away.

Now, Homestead neighborhoods residents are pulling up walk-in dumpsters and rebuilding our Homestead neighborhoods with larger, more functional homes. While these homes were very innovative at the time, some of the newer renovations are truly eye-popping.
