Let’s face it: Realtors are dinosaurs. Me too. I have been selling Denver homes so long I can get stuck in ruts. Take energy for example, I wouldn’t have known a planet-friendly home from a dinosaur’s energy footprint until recently. I attended a Realtor lunch and continuing education class on Green-built, new homes at the fabulous Blackstone Country Club in Aurora last week. The class gave me new insights and a better understanding of “building green” and the ENERGY STAR concept. After the class and a wonderful lunch catered by Maggiano’s, I toured Lennar’s homes for sale in Blackstone.
Lennar is in the midst of their Year-end Inventory Blowout and is seriously negotiating offers for inventory homes which will close by the end of November. They have seven homes ready to close by November 30th. They are priced from the mid-$300’s to mid $400’s and range from 2,448 square feet to 3,123 square feet. Some of the homes currently available are on cul-de-sac lots and are also available on the golf course. These homes also have walkout basements and mountain views.
Lennar is currently offering phenomenal, special financing with below market rates available with their affiliate lender, UAMC. Lennar is including an incentive package in which membership dues are paid for during the first year to Blackstone Country Club.
The onsite sales consultant, Mary Connelly, mentioned Lennar will be adding a third ranch plan (2,500 square feet), the St. Andrews. In addition, Lennar will add two larger two-story plans, The Telluride, 3,400 square feet, and The Aspen at 3,900 square feet. This will bring the total number of Lennar home plans available at Blackstone to nine.
Incidentally, Canongate, the owner of Blackstone Country Club also owns Black Bear Golf Club in Parker. Canongate now allows country club members to use both facilities — Black Bear Golf Club and/or Blackstone Country Club. This new setup offers one of the most affordable private country club packages in the Denver Metro area. Some new additional services to Blackstone Country Club include spa services, drop-in child care, the popular Zumba classes, etc. Other features include a resort-style pool, 2,000 square foot fitness center, tennis courts, private restaurant/grille, café, Starbucks, meeting rooms and numerous monthly social activities. Blackstone is a great place to meet people and integrate into the community.
While driving away from Blackstone Country Club, I could sense that this is an up and coming community and can be especially attractive for individuals relocating in from other states. It is a private country club, but yet is casual and very affordable. The community has easy access to DTC, Meridian & Inverness Business Parks and DIA. Blackstone is also close to shopping, dining and recreation.
