Exploring Denver’s Central Park Neighborhood

September 25, 2020 By Andrea Holeso 1 Comment

Urban architecture thrives in Central Park neighborhood. This is Denver’s planned urban community.

The Central Park neighborhood in the city of Denver was originally developed as Stapleton, a planned urban neighborhood. The name was recently changed to Central Park.  Anytime I pass through  Central Park, I always seem to find myself saying things like “Oh I could definitely live here” or “I really love this neighborhood!” It is a community that feels very welcoming and well-thought-out.

Denver’s Largest Planned Urban Community

There are 50 parks and green spaces scattered throughout the area. Central Park in DenverTo me, that is what really stands out about the Central Park neighborhood in Denver. The green spaces and parks are so well placed among the residential and commercial areas. The eye always seems to catch a glimpse of greenery. Many options for outdoor recreation add to the enjoyment of the Colorado lifestyle. Located in the North-Eastern part of Denver, Central Park has lots of options for public and private schools, recreation centers, popular dining spots, and shopping. The area is also home to the actual Central Park, which is 80 acres and is Denver’s 3rd largest park!

I was in the Central Park neighborhood last week previewing homes for a Buyer of mine. Afterward, hungry and looking for my brunch fix, I wandered over to East 29th Avenue Town

Housing options at Central Park include new and resale single-family homes.

Center. Four Friends Kitchen was a perfect choice for mimosas and delicious Southern-inspired American comfort food. I highly recommend this spot! Walking around the area you will also find yoga studios, coffee shops, pet services, and the lush Founders Green park.

Eastbridge Town Center is another great area in Central Park to explore if you’re looking for an evening of dining, shopping, and dessert. Here you will find popular restaurants such as ChoLon, Los Chingones, and the breakfast joint Hashtag. And, don’t forget to have something sweet after your dinner.

Just stop by Constellation Ice Cream (A Little Man Ice Cream company). You can find the order window under the big metal airplane wing! That symbolic wing honors the old Stapleton airport which served Denver years before Central Park developed as a residential community.

Northfield at Central Park

Also be sure to check out Northfield at Central Park where you can enjoy plenty of shopping, outdoor dining, and entertainment. This is part of the same neighborhood even though it is located north of I-70 at the Central Park interchange. When exploring this area, frozen margs and tacos from Torchy’s Tacos are a must.

Throughout the community, you will see a variety of different housing options and styles. Townhomes, duplexes, condos, and single-family homes comprise residential options throughout the neighborhood. And, with and a quick commute to DIA, I-70, and downtown, it’s no wonder Central Park is a desirable area. Driving through the neighborhood. See anything from traditional, ultra-modern, and even cottage-style homes. That is what I love about Denver’s Central Park community. It feels very inclusive, modern, and beautifully maintained.  This is a place where everyone feels like they’re at home.
