WINTERIZATION TIPS
If you have not already winterized the exterior elements of your home, now is the time to take action! In addition to the obvious maintenance items – blowing out sprinkler systems, putting garden hoses in storage and covering or insulating exterior pipes and water spigots – you should also be preparing for winter by having your furnace cleaned and filter changed, having your gas fireplace serviced and checking interior doors and windows for air-leaks. These are all energy cost saving items that can be done by the owners themselves or at fairly low prices from reputable contractors.
