Jason Cummings and Jesus Orozco (left to right) joined Larry and Elizabeth Hotz at The Kentwood Company forming The Hotz Group. They have sold hundreds of these Stapleton Homes.
What is a Hotz Group? Is it the latest and greatest rock group that’s so hot they could play Red Rocks in the snow? Is it a selection of Red Hots neatly arranged in a competitive children’s game? Or, is the a group of 4 exceptional Denver Realtors bought together to complement each other’s skill sets?
Of course, it is the latter. I made a conscientious decision over a year ago that my Partner, Elizabeth, and I would benefit
from a larger association. So, we hired Jason Cummings at the beginning of this year to help us with our business and bring his own buyers and sellers into our umbrella organization, The Hotz Group.
Jason had been selling on-site new homes for Infinity Home Collection and McStain Builders. I had worked with Jason in selling several new homes and found him to be extremely ethical and conscientious in his business dealings. On top of that, he is smart and energetic in meeting his clients’ needs.
Jason began work with what was to become The Hotz Group in January. Already this year, he has sold dozens of homes and will end the year above $15m in total sales. Jason and his wife, Katie, live with their two children in South Aurora. They love the schools and the community there. Jason is equally comfortable selling city homes and homes in the south Denver suburbs.
Then, we hired Jesus Orozco in July of this year. Jesus had also been selling new homes in Stapleton and Lowry. He also was looking for a change.
“We were very comfortable and successful selling new homes in Stapleton”, Jesus said. “But, we had been doing it so long it was frankly getting a little boring. What I love about resale is that I can find the right solution for each individual buyer or seller. I no longer work for one boss. Now, every client becomes my boss and my top priority until I help them meet their housing needs”.
The name Jesus is pronounced “Hey-Sus”. It is a Latino name he shares with other family members. He was born and raised in Denver and seen many neighborhoods in transition. Highlands is among those neighborhoods that have been gentrified over the last 20 years. He and his family live there and his children attend public schools there.
So, our Hotz Group now has four active Brokers working together for their clients’ interests. We help each other when scheduling requires but we mainly work with our own clients.
We recently moved into a larger office at the Kentwood Company to accommodate the group. We hold regularly scheduled meetings. And, we share information and ideas to help all our clients. This how our Hotz Group has evolved over the last 12 months. Stop by or contact us at Kentwood Company DTC office anytime. We’d love to see you and help with any real estate questions you have.
Think the creation of the Hotz Group was a very smart idea. 4 smart people is typically better than two and it also gives your clients a better chance at completing whatever their goal is and probably in a more efficient time frame as well. Much success in 2014.
