Kentwood Real Estate in Greenwood Village is my employing Broker and I love where I work. One of the reasons is the productivity of the agents. We enjoy the highest sales per agent of any firm in the United States according to a recent report from RISMedia, the national real estate magazine. And, for the first time I have seen, our 2012 sales are 70% more than our worthy competitor, Fuller Sotheby’s which was also in the top for agent productivity nationally.
Why would productivity be important to a Buyer or a Seller? After all, most folks think they area hiring the individual agent. Of course, they are hiring a agent. But, some real estate employers still operate like an old-fashioned real estate company where agents tour each other’s listings and work together to help sell them. That is the case with both Kentwood Real Estate and Fuller Sotheby’s. They are both fine firms and the market leaders in luxury Denver real estate priced above $1m.
I have often wondered which firm does have the largest share of the market. Which firm actually sells the most real estate in Denver and the suburbs? The answer now clearly is Kentwood Real Estate according to RISMedia.
Kentwood Real Estate leads in overall 2012 real estate sales with $17.2 billion. Fuller Southerbys come in with $1.1 billion. That is 42% more real estate sales at Kentwood Real Estate.
Sales per agent were $10.1 million at Kentwood and $7.2 million at Fuller according to RisMedia. That represents 40% more agent productivity at Kentwood Real Estate.
Agent productivity is important to potential buyers in this highly competitive real estate market. We share new listings that will be coming onto the market in the near future at our weekly sales meetings. So, our buyers can see those new listings right away. So often, buyers find a listing on the internet only to find out it was sold yesterday. Our buyers can see these listing immediately as they hit the market.
Agent productivity is important to potential sellers because we actually do market internally as well as in the MLS. Wouldn’t you want your house actively marketed to the most productive real estate agents in America? Would you want them to preview your home for their potential buyers on a Broker Tour? That’s what sellers get at my firm.
Frankly, luxury real estate is often most effectively marketed internally at my firm. There are 7 luxury homes in Cherry Hills Village currently under contract with Kentwood listing agents. Kentwood agents also sold 4 of those. So, our internal marketing does work for sellers!
Really good real estate agents are hard to find. But, a whole office full of good agents is extremely rare. That’s one of the reasons I love working at Kentwood. And, now we find out that our agent productivity is the best in the nation!
