Every year the The Kentwood Company hosts an awards dinner for its top-selling real estate brokers. This year, the gala dinner was held at the phenomenal Barolo Grill in Cherry Creek. The restaurant closed to the public so that Elizabeth, I and the other 37 top Kentwood brokers could be honored in lavish style.
“This is the best group of Brokers in the country” Peter Niederman, CEO of the Kentwood Companies said in his remarks. “This group sold almost $½ billion in residential real estate last year. You are the cream of the crop.”
Total sales of all three Kentwood offices actually exceeded over $1 billion in 2008. Production was led again by The Kentwood Company in the Denver Tech Center office. Outstanding producers there are included Chuck Gargotto, John Burns, Edie Marks, Sandy Weigand, Tom Cryer, Nancy Lee, Al Larson and Gina Lorenzen. Another family team, Bob and Sean Kelley, were also recognized.
The venues for the Kentwood award dinners have always been spectacular. In previous years, The Denver Country Club, The Cherry Hills Country Club and Del Fresco have hosted the gala affairs. This year was no exception. The owner of the Barolo Grill, Blair Taylor, spoke briefly to welcome the group.
“I’ve known many of you individually over the years,” said Blair. “I have enjoyed getting to know more of you tonight.” Blair Taylor has been a long time Denver Restaurateur. Every year, he takes the entire staff of Barolo Grill to Italy to learn more about authentic Italian cuisine. It’s fair to say that the dinners that were served at the Awards Dinner were not the usual banquet fare. It was the same gourmet cooking RaNae, Elizabeth and I have enjoyed there over the years.
Hosting a truly first-class Awards Dinner seems like a small thing but it really isn’t. It is part and parcel of the first-class culture that exists in this unique real estate firm. The firm delivers first-class service not only to its clients but to its brokers as well.
