Wow, You should see the fall colors in Evergreen this time of year! In fact you can. Just click on this video I shot of our aspen trees and Fall colors.
Usually, other mountain communities around Estes Park and Allen Park are beautiful this time of year. Since Estes Park is closed to tourists, you have the opportunity to visit Evergreen for the same incredible sites. Evergreen is gorgeous this year in particular. We have had plenty of rain but not the catastrophic floods further north. In fact, the rain may have even enhanced the colors!
The weather is cooler, the aspen are quaking, the creeks are full but well managed. The elk are bugling, and Evergreen is a quick 30-45 minutes commute from any location in Denver. If you live in Denver’s western suburbs, the commute is shorter than that.
Main Street in Evergreen is open for business. So, stop in for a lunch or stroll downtown. This weekend the Open Door Studios invited hundreds of visitors into the homes of the artists. Evergreen is a busy main street with coffee shops, ice cream shops, crafts, art studios, music clubs and, of course, our fabulous Evergreen Bear Lake.
This is one of seasons not to be missed here. Of course, I get to live here and see the sights year round. Each season has its own views and charms in Denver’s foothills.
