River North Homes For Sale in RiNo

Newly constructed town-homes and duplexes are sold quickly in RiNo.

One of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods is just north of Five Points near Downtown Denver. It is called RiNo. RiNo is an acronym that means RIver NOrth.  It is sometimes called the River North Arts District.

This area is north of Downtown Denver Area and Coors Field. It’s hip. It’s happening. And, it’s got lots of art galleries, restaurants and entertainment venues.

But, the biggest changes in this changing Denver Neighborhood is housing.

The amenities here have brought in lots of younger people who are looking for the urban pioneer experience with a touch of modern architecture and luxurious appointments. So, a ton of new homes, townhomes and condos have just sprung up. Interspersed, you’ll discover some original row houses and older, renovated single-family homes.

River North is a blend of new and old, Historic and hip.

Driving up and down Brighton Blvd. there are some rough areas in need of repair and renovation. You will also see many art galleries that display everything from Denver’s starving artist community to well established and up and coming artists in our community. After all, its designated River North Arts District.

There are even Artist Debut Shows at some the more upscale art galleries. So, it’s not unusual to see patrons sipping campaign on a summer evening while admiring the works of a new artist show. Meanwhile, locals might be sipping from a brown paper bag across the street. As the River North website says, ‘It is where art is made’. You will also see car repair shops that have been there for years and a plethora of pet stores such as the Barking Lot. RiNo is an eclectic Denver neighborhood

There is lots of residential and commercial construction going on as River North strives to take on an ultimate identity.Builders are scrambling to find lots to build new homes, town homes and condos. Also, some of the older housing in RiNo is being renovated and some of it falling to demolition of those builders. Demand for homes in RiNo is strong. As a result, home prices are increasing. New homes are starting to fetch prices equal to more established, urban pioneer neighborhoods like Baker, LoHi and Curtis Park.

Young, hip and often single, millennials are flocking to River North, RINO.

River North  is also known for the creativity of its many entrepreneurs who are identifying with RiNo and calling it their own. Plus, many breweries and upscale restaurants are bringing new life to the River North Arts District.  That is part of this interesting diversity which is RiNo.

One is the Great Divide on Brighton Blvd. near 40th Ave. This hot area is near Downtown where all of the activity and housing appreciation is going on. You can just drive through River North Arts District and feel the vibes of Old Denver and the energy, excitement and vitality the rebirth of one of Denver’s classic neighborhoods.

RiNo is in the ‘heart of Denver’ and is active and alive. Because, this long neglected and dilapidated area is going the way of other Denver areas that are catching the eye of local, national and international investors. As far as the homes in the area, you will be sure to find what you want.

In addition, new mixed-use development is beginning.  For example, “Drive Train” will have over 220 residential units on 3 acres. Plus,  shopping, restaurants and bars will compliment the lifestyle at Drive train. It’s a “Mini-Stapleton” coming to the heart of city.

River North Real Estate

Whether you are a proponent of the old, turn of the century homes, or newly built attached and detached homes, choose exactly what style suits you. Average home prices are from $300,000 to $800,000 in the area depending on style, size and condition.

 

Take the short drive north and west of Denver’s historic Five Points all the way to I-70. The development and changes will startle you. It may be just what you are looking for. And, you will have many choices of places to stop in for a burger and a beer along the way.

    You really have to love what has been going on in River North over the last few years. It has been up-and-coming for a while, and I think it’s safe to say that RINO has definitely hit the mark. This is the place to be, I agree.
