I Love Riverfront Park

August 1, 2012 By Darren Crotchett, New Era Real Estate Leave a Comment

Of all downtown Denver neighborhoods, I like Riverfront best for its amenities and real estate.

Working with clients takes me through the many great neighborhoods in Denver.
I visit the growing restaurant and bistro developments in the Lower Highlands.
Washington Park is a consistent favorite with it’s huge green space, the lake, running trails,
and the many activities. Downtown offers the high energy of urban living including
the many shows within the Denver theater district.

One very specific neighborhood seems to generate the most “oohs and ahhs”.
Nestled between Lohi and LoDo the Riverfront Park community is unlike any other
neighborhood. In some ways Riverfront Park is a secret within Denver. Many who grew up here remember this area back when it was just open train and rail yards.

A lot has changed in 10 years to make Riverfront Park the gem of the Downtown
Denver condo and Downtown Denver loft marketplace. Here’s why Riverfront Park
is different.

Unlike other neighborhoods within Denver, Riverfront Park was developed as a
master planned community. All of the land for Riverfront Park was purchased to
pursue one master plan. The park, the millennium bridge, and the other public
amenities were part of the Urban Plan written years ago. That plan was just waiting
for someone to come in and build to those designs.

The developer makes the decision of what to build. Their team adds the high rise
towers such as Glass House, Riverfront Tower, and Park Place Lofts. Along the park
they designed the great townhome projects such as The Brownstones and ONE
Riverfront.

What makes Riverfront Park unique is what most don’t know. There is a master
HOA fund for the neighborhood that each building pays in to. This fund has, since
the start, been focused on making Riverfront Park the safest and most beautiful
location in Denver.

The HOA fees for the neighborhood pay for a staff that clean, maintain, and protect
the beauty of the neighborhood. The fund helps to maintain the planted flowers, the
plaza, and the beautiful walkways within Riverfront Park.

The master HOA also hires off duty police officers to oversee security in the
neighborhood. Promoting safety and security is just one great benefit of this
modern and urban neighborhood downtown.

Throw in easy access to Union Station, light rail, the bike and walking trails, and two
pedestrian bridges and you see why this neighborhood is such an amazing Denver
gem.
