Evergreen, Colorado is located just 45 minutes from downtown Denver in the Rocky Mountains. Its elevation is 7200 ft., but this charming area still benefits from Denver’s 300 days of sunshine and mild winters. Of course, Evergreen boasts that their charming community is where mountain and city living come together. Evergreen real estate is surrounded by thick pine forests, wildlife, and mountain vistas. Indeed, its close proximity to Denver gives residents access to the entertainment and commerce of the big city. And, Evergreen is home to approximately 30,000 residents, most of which work in nearby Denver and escape to their peaceful mountain homes at the end of the day.
Evergreen offers so much in the way of arts, entertainment, and recreation. For example, the charming main street area is packed with artisan shops, unique restaurants, and bars featuring live music every night of the week! In fact, Evergreen is home to the famous Little Bear Nightclub which regularly features famous musicians just passing through. There are popular local theater groups and chorales for residents to see and join. Surrounding Evergreen are nine Denver Mountain Parks – perfect for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding. And of course, the town was developed around Evergreen Lake, which offers year-round family activities. The Evergreen Parks and Recreation Center is very proud of their new recreation center with a swimming pool, racquetball courts, and workout facilities.
Morrison, Colorado

The town of Morrison is located 16 miles from downtown Denver at the mouth of the Bear Creek Canyon. And, the Bear Creek River runs through the center of town providing water for local communities, recreation, and beautiful scenery. Morrison was founded in 1874 as a result of settlers working in the rock quarries nearby. This quaint, charming community has a small town feel with a historic downtown setting. However, it is close enough to Denver to provide a nearby retreat for people who wish to escape the busy city life at the end of the day. Likewise, the town has top notch restaurants and boutiques. And, it is close to Bear Creek Lake Park, for tanning on the beach, boating, horseback riding, shooting at the archery range, or camping.
Since Morrison Colorado is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, not only are there amazing views of mountain vistas, but Colorado’s famous Red Rocks Park is nearby. Red Rocks Park consists of huge red sandstone rock that dates back over 250 million years ago. As a result, they form the world renowned Red Rock Amphitheater, the only geologically formed, open air amphitheater.In fact, Red Rocks Amphitheater was named one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Now, live performances by famous entertainers perform almost all year. There is even dining at the top of the amphitheater in the underground restaurant.
Charming Conifer
Conifer is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just 15 miles outside of Denver. This area was first settled by the Ute and Cheyenne Indians who used the area of Conifer for hunting. As you can imagine, this area also offers ideal mountain scenery with its mountain views, dense forests, and abundance of wildlife. Additionally, explosions of wild flowers blossom throughout Conifer each spring.
Conifer has approximately 15,000 residents, over a third of which commute to Denver each day for work. As a result, a commercial commerce center may be built in the near future.
Jefferson County Public Schools serves Evergreen, Colorado, Morrison and Conifer. This school district has over 97,000 students making it one of the larger districts in the state. Because of the size, this district is able to provide students with a variety of educational programs to meet their individual needs. For this purpose, the average district teacher has 12 years of experience and the student/teacher ratio is 17:1.
