In addition, residents enjoy great shopping that ranges from Golden’s historic downtown, to the new Colorado Mills Mall . The City of Golden is served by Jefferson County Public Schools. This school district has over 97,000 students making it one of the larger districts in the state. Since it is so large, this district is able to provide its students with a variety of educational programs to meet their individual needs. The average district teacher has 12 years of experience. And, the student/teacher ratio is 17:1.
