Denver’s South Pearl Street is quietly tucked away in the middle of the Platt Park neighborhood. This street is a little strip with a big bang. It is home to my favorite farmers’ market. And, there is always something to do in this part of town.
This historic street spans from Buchtel Boulevard all the way down to Evans Avenue. Here residents and visitors alike can find some of the best restaurants, locally-owned boutiques, and coffee shops Denver has to offer.
The Platt Park Neighborhood
The beautiful tree lined roads, stunning and eclectic mix of homes, and the amazingly convenient central location are major reasons why the people of Denver love this neighborhood. It is less than 15 minutes away from the city center and Union Station and less than a 40-minute drive away from Denver International Airport. With I-25 and Santa Fe Drive close by, getting around Denver and the surrounding areas is easy from here. There is also the Louisiana/Pearl RTD light rail station just down the way.
Pearl Street Farmer’s Market
The historic South Pearl Street of Denver is charming Denver neighborhood and always abuzz with activities and fun. With the Platt Park just blocks from South Pearl Street, it is a perfect spot to spend a Sunday afternoon outdoors. The Sunday South Pearl Street Farmer’s Market is one of my favorites in all of Denver! There are always a ton of local vendors to choose and great option for tasty fruits a veggies. And, visitors can check the market out every Sunday from May through November. Tents, food trucks, and more can be found on this bustling strip, between Iowa and Arkansas Street.
South Pearl Street is such a walkable strip. Here, you can find luxury consignment stores such as Common Threads or quaint coffee shops like Stella’s Coffee House. Sip an Iced Lavender Latte on their charming patio equipped with plenty of outdoor seating and even a fire pit! And, do not miss one of my favorite date night spots: Sushi Den. The fly their fish in daily!
Some of my favorite spots in South Pearl Street:
Stella’s Coffee House
Duffy Roll Bakery
Tokyo Premium Bakery
South Pearl Street on Friday Nights
The neighborhood also hosts a First Friday Art and Shop Walk. Here, the event is held on the first Friday of every month from April through October. Browse local artists pieces and support the charming local merchants who stay open late during the event. Live music, free refreshments, and special sales are just some of the things locals can experience on South Pearl Street’s First Friday. Look’s like you now have a new date night planned!
Platt Park Community Love
The big thing that stand out to me about this Pearl Street strip and the Platt Park neighborhood is the strong sense of community. The community events, pride of ownership throughout this area, and the overall experience of walking down South Pearl Street proves this. The restaurants scene is always great, the shops are welcoming, and there is always some family fun to be had! It is one of the many reasons why South Pearl Street and the Platt Park neighborhood is one of my favorite parts of Denver.
