Denver has become a big city. Time was when it was one of the safest cities. With growth comes change and Denver 
neighborhoods inside the City now vary in the degree of safety. The chart below shows the highest crime neighborhoods to the lowest. Families with children especially might consider avoiding the highest ranked neighborhoods.
The suburbs generally have less crime. However, neighborhoods in Commerce City and northern Denver Neighborhoods are among the exceptions. Castle Pines Village, Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Ken Caryl and Highlands Ranch, Colorado are among cities with relatively lowest crime rates.
