Meet Margaret Stapleton, an Evergreen Realtor

She loves Evergreen and helping people with their real estate needs. Of course, she has the credentials of an accomplished Realtor and has been selling homes here for many years. She’s a Certified Mountain Area Specialist, a distinguished member of the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) (top 3% of all Realtors), a Certified Negotiation Expert, member of  the Remax 100% Club, a Certified Distressed Property Specialist and an International Real Estate Specialist.

But, more than that, she is greatly inspired by the accomplishments of her material Grandmother, Sallie. In the 1920′s when women had barely achieved even the right to vote, she became a model of entrepreneurial inspiration. She earned a degree in teaching but while doing that she also sold insurance and real estate to local farmers and  families in Nebraska.

“Her love of helping people was legendary in the towns around Palisade”, Margaret often recalls. ” She was a giver and appreciated everyone’s abilities, and guided her friends toward decisions that made the difference in their lives.”

This pioneer spirit of helping others and being an entrepreneur continues to motivate Margaret and is a great tribute to her grandmother.

“I’ve spent my life as an entrepreneur. I couldn’t be stopped from holding the lemonade stand open nearly every weekend for the contractors in our new neighborhood. While I’ve worked for others throughout my life, I’ve always had a business or avocation in some other business, music business and management, business development, marketing and sales.

Evergreen has inspired me.  Our open space, our charming main street, and the people have kept me in Evergreen since the early 1980s.  Giving back is important to me too. I make my efforts through EChO, church organizations, MMAR, Chamber, Rotary and by helping buyers, sellers and investors to accomplish their dreams.  This is the most satisfying job I’ve ever had.”
