It is fantastic. I walked the South Boulder Creek Trail recently with my husband and dog, Reilly. It was gorgeous - and flat. You actually get the chance to teach them to appreciate what nature has given us. I am sure the trails and such are wonderful there in CO. The trails highlight that fact. We went hiking and horseback riding and I enjoyed it immensely! They lived in the Conifer/Evergreen area but now live in Grand Junction.
