Westminster is a suburb of Denver located in the Northwest corridor. It is located along US 36, the main road between Denver and Boulder. The southern section of the city is next to “The Highlands” in Denver, a renovated historic area. But, the northern section of Westminster has a more suburban flavor. That section is in Adams County which lacks highly-rated public schools.  The south section of Westminster is in Jefferson County.

Median income in the last census year was $56,323. And the median home value was $170,400. Westminster consists mostly of smaller “starter homes” but there are communities of custom and semi-custom quality also. Recently, Westminster has benefited from the newly constructed Flat Irons Shopping Mall. It has spurred not only additional residential development but also offices and surround retail establishments.

Westminster is served by Jefferson County Schools. Jefferson County Schools are generally fairly well rated for test scores. Many neighborhoods offer established landscaping and family friendly environment. There are even a couple neighborhoods that are zoned for horses.

The commute time from Westminster to Downtown Denver is approximately 20 minutes and an equal distance to Downtown Boulder.
