Pumpkin Patch

Have you ever taken a child or grandchild through a pumpkin patch and let them run around looking for their perfect pumpkin. It’s an experience you and your child will treasure and remember for a life time.

They may pick out a large pumpkin, a small one, a not so good looking one, but it’s their pumpkin. On the way back home they will want to hold the pumpkin in their lap or next to them on the car seat. My kids over the years have chosen some imperfect pumpkins, but it was their choice, and their pumpkin.

When we arrived at the house, you guessed it, we went straight to the kitchen table to carve, paint or decorate their pumpkin. Family time, fun, laughter, stories, messy table top, but I wouldn’t trade it for World Series tickets.
