Drive-In Fans it appears this is the final curtain on The Cinderella Twin Drive-In. The city is close to approving of the final site plan for an apartment complex.
“There have been a half-dozen serious development proposals for the location since my dad bought the land and built the drive-in back in 1972” Bruce Leiman, president, said after the August 29th Sheridan planning and zoning commission meeting on the developers final site plan.
The Drive-in opened in 1972 and is one of two remaining in The Denver Metro Area. There is 800 Spaces to view one of the two screens. People came from all over the metro area, Nebraska and Wyoming just to go to the drive-in.
How many of us over the years have been to The Cinderella Twin Drive-In. I certainly went there and some of my finest memories of high school are going there with friends. We often would go with four or more. A couple of times there were even a couple of our friends in the trunk. It was high school socializing in action. Plus, the movies were pretty good too.
The drive in is a Sheridan Landmark near Littleton. One landmark that will be missed. A Dieing Breed.

I personally have never been to a drive through, probably because of the shortage of them left standing in my area. These are the types of properties that I would like to see restored to its original glory instead of demolished to build apartments that come a dime a dozen. Historic land marks like this need to be saved so we can enjoy things like this from our history and to preserve a golden era for future generations to come.
